whoop! Got into work, sleepily bumbled my way to my regular Monday websites and inbetween checking PostSecret and XKCD, I noticed my viewing figures for this snowflake shot were scooting higher than any of my other pictures…
it turns out that I got “explored”, which means that an algorithm at Flickr HQ liked the snowflake and it now appears somewhere in the Last 7 Days Of Interestingness archives (yes, I scrolled through all the pictures to see if I could find mine). So all these lovely, entirely random photographers are commenting and favouriting and generally lifting the usual gloom that a Monday morning brings with it.
Having other people like your photos is a really nice feeling – maybe spending two years of fiddling with cameras and gradually working out what I’m doing has started to pay off. Interesting, indeed.
