a much better approach

A fantastic CC licensed poster/image/potential tshirt. Love this, especially the lime green colour – it’s already printed out for my desk space… and now it’s my new iPhone wallpaper too!

Now to actually make things. I’m fine on the excitement front…

memory card memory book

It’s not like I ever have SD cards going spare (damn tiny, easily lose-able media!) but if I did, I’d definitely be giving this a go.

memory-card2

This beautiful little book is made from an old SD card and contains some of the photos that the creator had taken on the card. What a gorgeous idea – I salute the fiddliness of this project!

Oh, and still no news on my own, tragically malformed memory card. SanDisk said they needed “more time” *gulp*…

Perfect. Just perfect.

Rosie is the daughter of illustrator Bill Zeman – after he completes a drawing (sometimes to her brief) she critiques it. He’s been recording her “suggestions” for three years and they’re hilariously enchanting, especially if you’ve ever spent time around small children!

Example:

The Brief: I’m going to tell you what to draw. Draw a dragon sneaking up on a girl. She’s picking flowers.
The Critique: Daddy it’s not supposed to be like that! He has dog legs! I’m so mad at you! I’m going to erase those legs! Daddy why did you do those legs??? [collapses in tears]
Job Status: Rejected

See, sites like this are why the web’s great.

All’s right with the world

The sun is shining, it’s Friday, and I’ve just found a video of foxes enjoying a trampoline. Could this day get any better?

I absolutely, no word of a lie, love these

Sometimes I get a little bit obsessed with a product and find it lingering in the back of my mind far longer than it should – unfortunately, I feel this way about these Snowjogger boots, and all it took was a Google Ad at the top of my Gmail. Oh dear.snowjoggers

Are they hideous? I really have no way of telling – they do say love is blind. In my defence, they’re hugely practical as well as completely heart-stoppingly awesome. Imagine these with a short denim skirt and cosy jumper, kicking around in the snow. *Sigh*…

I wonder how long I can hold out before buying some.
